Trading · Verified performance

No live trades. No verified performance yet.

INSIDER has never placed a real order, so it has no real returns to show. This page records what Robinhood actually allows, what INSIDER runs instead, and the controls any live trading would have to pass.

Where each stage stands

  • Read-only account viewNot availableThe Trading MCP is built for a person's own AI client. Robinhood documents no way for a website like INSIDER to connect to a user's account, so INSIDER cannot read balances or positions.
  • Paper tradingRunning, hypotheticalThe forward signal ledger records every signal and decision before the outcome and prices it from public closes. It is INSIDER's paper record.
  • Controlled live executionDisabledThe pre-trade guard below exists and is tested, but the kill switch is engaged, no strategy is authorized and there is no brokerage connection. Turning it on needs the account owner's explicit authorization.

What Robinhood allows

Checked Nov 5, 2026
  • Stock, option and crypto orders by an AI agentOnly through Robinhood's hosted Trading MCP (agent.robinhood.com/mcp/trading), connected by the account owner with an in-app sign-in. Orders go only to a separate, separately funded Agentic account; other accounts are read-only to the agent.Robinhood support: Onboarding an external agent
  • Order typesLong equities, options and crypto. Market (share or dollar), limit, stop limit, stop market. No multi-leg options through agents. A review tool simulates an order without placing it.Robinhood support: Trading with your agent
  • Trade approvalsA setting that makes the owner confirm each order in the app. Off by default for external agents and still rolling out for MCP accounts.Robinhood support: Trading with your agent
  • REST APIDocumented for crypto only (Robinhood Crypto Trading API, Ed25519-signed requests). There is no documented public REST API for stocks.docs.robinhood.com
  • Paper tradingRobinhood's documentation for these interfaces describes no paper-trading or sandbox account. Any paper record has to be kept by INSIDER itself.Robinhood support and API documentation, as above
  • Unofficial librariesCommunity clients that reuse Robinhood's private web API exist. They are not part of Robinhood's documented interfaces; INSIDER does not use them.

Pre-trade guard

Kill switch engaged
  • Kill switchEngaged. Every order is blocked.
  • ApprovalExplicit approval from the account owner on every order, void after 15 minutes
  • Source of ordersOnly signals the forward ledger recorded as entered
  • Authorized strategiesNone
  • Order typesLimit only; no market orders
  • Limit priceAt most 1% above the current quote
  • Per order$500 maximum
  • Per day$1,500 maximum
  • Open positions5 maximum

These rules are code with unit tests, not a promise. Any live connection would also require Robinhood's own trade approvals switched on, an audit log of every proposal and decision, and written authorization from the account owner. None of that is in place, so nothing trades.
